The Gemstone File - A Memoir
20th century history for grown-ups
by Stephanie Caruana

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Alan, Richard. (pseudonym) The Gemstone File: Sixty Years of Corrupt Manipulation Within World Government; Detailing the Events Surrounding the Assassination of JFK, Columbus, Ohio, Crown Publishing Co., 1992.
Four hundred pages of documentation, consisting of reproduction of articles from major magazines and newspapers, from the '30's to the '90's. Compiled over many years by a man from Columbus Ohio who received a copy of the Skeleton Key to the Gemstone File from Larry Flynt personally in 1976, only a few days before Larry was shot in the back in Georgia to prevent him from investigating its allegations. Limited (2000 ppb copies), OOP, costly on secondhand market, (try Amazon.com), but the ultimate refutation of the "Caruana and Roberts are from outer space/undocumented/insane/disinformation/ etc." school of "thought."

Carroll, Gerald A. Project Seek: Onassis, Kennedy and the Gemstone Thesis, Carson City, Nevada, Bridger House, 1994.
Four hundred pages of excellent documentation and analysis by an expert professional journalist who received his copy from a Native American in 1976, and moved from disbelief to acceptance while doing this research. Good picture section as well.

Keith, Jim, Ed. The Gemstone File, Atlanta, IllumiNet, 1992.
A mixed-bag collection of articles which stirred, or re-stirred, public interest in the 1975-circulated Skeleton Key to the Gemstone File. Includes articles by Mae Brussell, Jonathan Vankin, Robert Anton Wilson, Kerry Thornley, Ben G. Price, and others, and an interview with me. Worth reading, even though the quality and accuracy of the articles is widely varied.

Renzo, Peter. Beyond the Gemstone File, New York, Vantage, 1976.
An early, brief book by a man who currently keeps tigers as pets somewhere in California or Nevada. This 96-page "gem" contained my Skeleton Key, plus a paper called The Philadelphia Experiment, plus a few pages of fantasizing on the part of Peter Renzo. Caveat emptor: Peter may have ordered a reissue from Vantage Press, circa 1990 (??), which is being sold for the highly inflated price of $250.00. This undoubtedly buys a lot of tiger chow, but the buyer is likely to be disappointed.

Thomas, Kenn, and David Hatcher Childress. Inside the Gemstone File, Kempton, Illinois, Adventures Unlimited, 1999.
Kenn Thomas, author, editor, and publisher of Steamshovel Press books, and Steamshovel (periodical) is at the center of a community of "conspiracy theory" writers. He has given many of us a much-needed "home" and a voice. Here he has provided information and items available nowhere else. David Childress has pointed out some of the similarities between Ian Fleming's "James Bond" novels, and the subsequent movies, and the "plot" and characters of the Gemstone File—particularly in the movie version of Diamonds Are Forever. No wonder; as an intelligent and aware British agent, during and after World War II, Ian Fleming would have certainly known a great deal about the hidden machinations of the power stealers. James Bond's arch enemy, the tyrant and super-villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, is clearly based on the real tyrant and super-villain, Aristotle Onassis, with perhaps a bit of Stavros Niarchos thrown in. The Diamonds Are Forever movie contains clear references to the story of Howard Hughes's kidnap by Onassis, and Onassis's involvement with Las Vegas casinos.

This is a highly selective bibliography.
